preamp circuit 2 transistors

Making a preamp circuit 2 transistors. The preamp circuit has been admin share in previous post. If you have not read it please read on the article circuit of preamp circuit 1 transistor

in this article the admin will discusses about the preamp circuit using 2 transistors where the resulting obtained gain results will be better than the preamp 1 transistor circuit

The following sequences can be used on the microphone before finally entering the tone control and amplifier

As for the advantages of this preamp circuit is able to with stereo amplifier and tone control

Making a preamp circuit 2 transistors

2 transistors used in this circuit are 2 pieces of NPN C945 transistor or can also be used transistor C828

Transistors TR1 and TR2 function to expand the input signal generated by the microphone

As for the complete list of ingredients used to make the preamp 2 transistor circuit are as follows

  • R1 …………… 470R
  • R2 …………… 12K
  • R3 …………… 47K
  • R4 …………… 47K
  • R5 …………… 820 Ohm
  • R6 ……………. 100 Ohm
  • R7 ……………. 1K
  • R8 ……………. 1K
  • VR ……………. 50K
  • C1 ……………. 1 uF/16V
  • C2 ……………. 47 uF/16V
  • C3 ……………. 470 nF
  • C4 ……………. 1 uF/16V
  • TR1 ………….. C945/C828
  • TR2 ………….. C945/C828

the above preamp circuit works at a voltage of 12 VDC. Therefore, make sure the voltage you apply is the DC voltage and not the AC voltage

how the preamp circuit works

the signal from the microphone will enter through C1 and R1 which will then be amplified by transistor TR1

after reinforced through TR1 will then be reinforced by TR2 so it will gain 2-fold gain

After going through TR 2 then the signal will pass a potentiometer where through this potentiometer can set the size of the volume created

The resistors R7 and R8 function to split the signal. This is useful if you install it on a stereo amplifier

For articles about resistor you can read it on article definition and function of resistor

if your have stereo amplifier you can directly connect the L preamp output to input L and R output to input R amplifier

But if your amplifier is mono you only need to connect one of them L or R
